Hi there, could anyone tell me how I can achieve such a rich color on my showpiece like the one I have attached.

At the moment I use colored cocoa butter through an airbrush but i never seem to get a deep and rich color. Please help.

Thank you in advance

Where do you get your colors from? Chef Rubber has the best colors here in the states. Some cocoa butter colors are not completely opaque, if this is the case the chocolate behind them can show through and it washes out the color. Another thing you can try is to use dark chocolate behind the transfer or white. You will get a different shade on the outside depending what is behind it. The best advice I can give is trial and error.

I use PCB colors, they are a french company that have world wide outlets. They supply to Callebaut too, who run the world chocolate masters, so I am presuming they are one of the best. Any other thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thank you

Colour in layers to achieve the tones and richness desired. Dark or milk chocolate thinned with coco-butter to highlight other colors that may be lost against a white background.
Look at some forums on airbrushing as well. The techniques used there can be crossed over to our applications.
Have you tried reverse colouring?
instead of airbrushing the finished piece of chocolate, airbrush the acetate over a picture and layer the colour in reverse for shine. Then run over the back of the finished picture with the layer of chocolate needed and remove the acetate when set.
This should take planning and practice, but you can see the result as you go from the reverse. A good learning tool for how the colours work together.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

You might want to consider putting the colored cocoa butter onto acetate and then pouring the chocolate on top of it. This way you have a layer of nothing but color in front of a layer of chocolate. You can always airbrush around the edges to add depth and dimension.
Hope this helps.

To geth that kind of color, you have to spray the area with white cocoa butter first then with the desired cocoa butter color after it sets. Dont dilute the colors with regular coco butter. Also chefrubber.com has alot of vibrant colors.
