i was recently tasked to write a paper about the national pastry team chamionshp. but i am having difficulty finding certain info. info such as how long the competition has been going and when carymax first started it.. please if anyone can help with this info it would be greatly appreciated.

It might have started eariler, but I don't personally recall it before then. The owner of this website is Mr. S who is the owner of Carymax LLC. The moderator is Clay Gordon who works for Mr. S. so I suggest you write Mr. Gordon a nice note inquiring.

Carymax created the event, so it didn't exist until they created it. Before then (to the best of my knowledge which could be wrong) there were was a regional event the Southern Classic. I believe that event was sponsored by the owner of a business called Classic Gourmet. Classic Gourmet was bought out by European Imports Co. several years ago. They stopped their competition when they sold their business. That's when Carymax picked up the ball and created a national contest and it's WPF Classes.
