2009 - The Taste of Life - Out of the box desserts (with Robert van Beckhoven)

Born in Belgium, Rudolph grew up in the South of Holland where he still lives. Already at the age of 11 Rudolph decided he wanted to become a chef. He went on to study at the Culinary School in Breda, Holland where in 1985 he won the Best Graduate Award.

From the start of his culinary career gastronomic events and trade contests formed his inspiration serving effectively as a test laboratory for research and new experiences. Not only his curiosity but also his creative instinct urged him to visit many countries and cultures and meet with a great variety of distinguished chefs all over the world. In the first instance mostly participating in trade contests or demonstrations and often for an international audience. But later and increasingly so as a guest or host chef as well as a member of a number of culinary juries. More than the prizes he earned on the way Rudolph considers the many international contacts with prominent experts one of the great treasures of his professional career.

In 1995, after precisely ten years' work experience and at the very young age of 27, he obtained the highest Dutch qualification in his field: Certified Master Chef (SVH Masterchef).

Pastry always had a special place in his heart and therefore he co-founded together with a team of 5 pastry chefs including his friend Robert van Beckhoven in 1998 the 'Dutch Pastry Team' to guarantee a professional structure for future competitors and events. Today The Dutch Pastry Team is the biggest promotion group for pastry in The Netherlands.

In 2000 Rudolph launched his television career by co-hosting the Dutch TV show 'Life & Cooking'; the ultimate way to communicate about his passion for cooking and pastry to a greater public. 3 successful cookery books were published and more TV appearances followed. In the meantime the public had awarded him the coveted Rembrandt Award for best Dutch talent (2002).

Since 2007 his dream of combining all of his interests; cooking, pastry, communication and traveling came true. In the TV series The Taste of Life Rudolph travels around the whole world revealing culinary secrets while cooking together with local people and professional chefs.
